The recipient of the 2020 NJ Poets Prize from the Journal of NJ Poets, and various other awards, paulA is the author of the poetry chapbook, capricornucopia: the dream of the goats (Finishing Line Press 2018), the co-author of the poetry/photography collection, Shirts & Skins (Shine Portrait Studio Press 2017. paulA founded Parkway North Productions with fellow writer-turned-filmmaker Boris Tsessarsky in 2018, co-writing and producing the award-winning hip hop feature documentary The Remedy, and co-writing, editing and producing the shorts The Cedars, Mad Lib: Jersey AF (also as director), and Every Alien Pen, all of which have screened at national and international film festivals. boris tsessarsky co-founder writer director producer Native New Yorker who grew up in the 80’s and 90’s, Boris Tsessarsky, a Jewish immigrant from Russia, was deeply immersed in hip-hop music and culture. Boris’s first documentary, Kings Highway: The Story of Malcolm Fairfield, (2016) focuses on a young actor who tragically passed away in 1971 and screened at various film festivals.
